Best ninja facility in central CT, hands down.

This was a blast! My kids took part in a two-hour introductory session and loved it! Both instructors were attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. Stressing safety and inclusion, my kids came away from this feeling empowered. Can’t wait for the spring session to begin.

Held my son’s 6th Birthday party here. Children were between 6 and 11. The coaches are GREAT with children. Honestly a very nice place to engage the children in safe physical activity. A blast for little ones and challenging enough for teens. Clean and neat facility.

This place is awesome! My 5 and 6 year old love their class. The staff is great with the kids. I would recommend this to anyone looking to try out something new.

We celebrated my daughters 10th birthday yesterday. My 12 year old son and his friend joined in the party. Everyone had a wonderful time. The staff was great with the kids. On the way home the 6 kids I had in the car could not stop talking about the instructors and how much fun they had. Highly recommend.

We have been with Hamden ninja academy since it opened and we couldn’t be more pleased. My 7 year old has learned so much over the past several months and he feels so accomplished when he reaches a goal and conquers a new obstacle. Coach Joe, Coach Yancey and Coach Jess are amazing instructors!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

One of the best well run gyms around. This facility held a National Ninja League competition yesterday and it went as smoothly as a competition with hundreds of ninjas could go. I have been to many comps and this was the finest. There were plenty of seats as a spectator and as a competitor. The staff was very welcoming and encouraging.

Wow! By far the best birthday experience my 3 sons ever had. Both of our instructors were amazing teaching 20 energetic boys as well as helping us with the normal birthday stuff. We will definitely be signing up for classes. Great facility too!

My girls have been taking classes here since January. Love the place and the people! Derek and Mike are the best! So welcoming and affirming!

My 16 year old son loves every moment he spends at the Academy. He enjoys all the people and staff. It’s like a family gathering and not like a gym.

I drove almost 3 hours one way for my son to attend a class and I would do it again. Jaeden had such a great time and one of his dreams was to run a course and hit a buzzer. Thank you for making his dreams come true. Coach Derek and Mike were great. They were so informative and had such patience with all the children. Jaeden talked about the gym and his coaches the whole ride home. We can’t wait to come to another event. Thanks again.

Excellent gym, their National Ninja League comp was one of, if not, the best run competitions I’ve been to. Every competitor was run through very smoothly and fairly; the setup for the competitors and spectators was great and the course was very well marked and safe. Course itself was a lot of fun, equally challenging and doable. Splitting up the competitors into the four waves made the run order and warm up much less confusing than other competitions I’ve been to. Bonus, super comfortable t-shirts from the comp – really soft and nice fitting! 10/10 would ninja here again

My sons train at this gym and attend the summer camp. They love it and continue to build confidence everyday. Coaches Yancey, Joe, and Jess are awesome, and their investment in the kids really shows. They’re attentive, supportive, and eager to bring out the best in them. Their “ninja family” at Real Life even surprised my 8 year old for his birthday. Their training has made them proud to be ninjas, proud to watch the coaches succeed as ninjas, and they keep getting more physically and mentally fit each day.

My husband and I visited as drop-in and paired with Mike as our spotter. Mike was excellent at explaining the obstacles, giving feedback, and progressions for obstacles we weren’t able to complete. This was NOT an easy course but was fun and challenging. I never realized how scared I’d be of trying the warped wall! Some obstacles are permanent and some rotate out…We don’t live in this area, we were visiting, but we will look forward to returning here!!!

Great gym! Came all the way from Ohio and was worth every mile traveled!

A great place for kids. They balance fun, discipline, mental and physical strength. They teach them to use skill, intelligence and effort to overcome challenges. And while it is about individual achievement, you are not competing with others but only yourself and what you are personally capable of achieving. Everyone is in it together and striving towards the same goals. The various instructors that I have met have been excellent with the children – combining fun, learning, implementing rules, ensuring fairness and being patience while maintaining control.
